Frozen
Frozen
My soul is frozen
I’m standing on thin ice
My brain is scattered
My heart has shattered
I thought we were friends
To me that was a fact
But now I know how it feels
To get stabbed right in the back
Your words were like daggers
They went right through me
And it hurt so much more
Than any wound I’d ever received
They say actions speak louder than words
But you said plenty that day
And until then, I never knew
You hated me in such a vile way
If only I were an octopus;
Born with two hearts
So that while one is breaking
The other won’t be tearing apart
This emptiness numbs me from within
Making my insides frozen
And I feel cold
So, so cold…
But for now all I can do is
‘Conceal,
don’t feel
…don’t let it show’
