frozen beauty

dear snow,

you are harsh, biting, cold

sharp crystals, too small to cut

and always too fragile to last.

i think if you were a person, you'd be smirking

because you know you should be hated

you ice our roads, cloud our vision, and freeze our hands

yet we celebrate you because you are beautiful.

i can think of some people you'd be friends with, if you came alive

they freeze hearts and move on before the thaw

striking, regal, and fleeting - you match

what good do you bring?

only beauty

i suppose that is enough

sincerely,

your biggest fan
