Frozen in Time.

I get a little bit older, but as we sing these songs, those memories from far away drift back… I see snowflakes falling, so delicately, onto those frosted windows alight… With the tree decorated with lights, and with the big bright star. But all I see is you, with your long, flowing hair, with your bright brown eyes that light up mine. The snow is still falling, the fireplace on. It reminds me of the warmth of your embrace. I wish I could’ve had it now, as I walk down these frosted alleys, shivering, my tears freezing into shards of ice. My breath is shaky, turning into little clouds of smoke. I miss you. I miss you so much. With every passing holiday, those memories chip at my heart, hurting, as I remember you. The winter of my life has come. the branches of the trees are bare, and the flowers are brown and wilting. And I don't think spring will ever arrive.
