Fruit Snack Anxiety by Will

JROTC cadets sell fruit snacks

SGM tells us what to do
Don’t just sell to Lane kids he says

Ask anyone and everyone

Here’s the thing

I can’t do that

I can’t just walk up to someone and say “Hey would you like to buy a fruit snack, they’re one dollar?”

My Social Anxiety starts to scream inside me “WHAT ARE YOU DOING?”

Then my Trust Issues chip in with a “YOU DON’T KNOW THIS PERSON!!!”

Well I don’t know what I am doing Anxiety

I know I don’t know these people Trust

And for the sake of my sanity will you just shut up!

Look Trust you need to ease up

Every man on the street isn’t going to assault you

Every lady ain’t gonna give you a dirty look

Anxiety look I don’t care if you wanna hyperventilate

Remember what Trusting taught us

Breathe

In out

In out

I can’t control you two

But I can make you two calm down

You can stop and just breathe

Remember to breathe

Even if fruit snack Anxiety is eating away at me
