The real America is thrust in the face of the transgressor

He who sees

The truth that screams

LISTEN!

But because we live our lives anxious to please

They who are the pilot

Egging on the violence

Pushing us into silence

Each day, Each hour

So one less nigga

Can breathe in a better life

We must remember that we are the foundation

The first nation

We are all we need to survive

The real America

Where yesterday a man was shot

Where a pregnant woman ducked down when she heard

That glock pop

The real America

Who came and who conquered

Who enslaved and who abolished

Who oppressed and who taunted

Those

That other. Who?

Never

Belonged

The real America

Home to the Black

Foot that treaded it’s lands

Cultivating its culture

Sowing the seeds of a future

Which never had a chance to

Be-       Come,

Again

The Native America
