Sun scraped flickers

Of your hands on mine

And your accordian smile.

You capture fireflies

In the crook of your thumb

And handcuff my dreams to your pulse.

I keep the lights on

So you can find me when you come home.

You watch me climb mountains

And count my familiarized freckles.

Lillies sprout from my sternum

Where nothing ever grew before

You.

Everything finally grows because of

Us.
