The Fruits of Friendship

Being a good Friend – 'The Fruits of Friendship'

Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness

goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.

The Fruits of the Spirit in all it's greatness,

For without these, you are not the kindest soul.

A true friend loves, no matter what happens.

What you think or say or do.

As a friend, they love with a passion,

The same they expect of you.

They are joyous to see you always,

Never angry or cross.

Though you might want to go your own ways,

They will never act like the boss.

Fights are out of the question,

Violence is out of mind.

They are peaceful and calm – no aggression,

That helps when you're being kind.

Patience is key in any relationship,

Without it you'd be crude.

Without it you might trip

Over anger and start a feud.

Think of kindness as water.

You'd surely die without it.

And the more you have the better

People will like you more for it.

For goodness, faithfulness, gentleness,

And self-control as well,

You get the basic gist of this,

Without these, friendship is hell.
