Frustrated!
Pain is not just a four letter word, its part of everyday life; I’m oh so frustrated with
all this confusion and strife. As I look around I see more and more grief and misery,
After 800 plus years, you would think these wounds would be history! Instead they
grow deeper and deeper by the day, I don’t know why they think its ok to treat us the same ole way. Instead of ropes, fire hoses and dogs, they use the law to keep us at bey! We as a people don’t understand it’s us that first have to change, if we don’t, then the things that’s done to us will happen again and again. We must come together as close as brothers and sisters, and stop hating on each other like Ms. Ceiley hated Mister. We must educate ourselves in the law and become so versed in it, that when they come for us we can say wait one minute! We have rights and we need to be able to run them down with the strength of Malcolm X, hit them where they live so they can’t predict what’s coming next. Dr. King said we will get to the mountain top as a people, but as we are now we can’t even agree on the color of a church steeple. We make it too easy for others to hurt us, for the most part we back down without a fuss. We let religion be taken out of school because one person acted a fool. We bowed down and the devil got busy, so many of our children are gone that it’s making me dizzy. Others are coming here taking what we worked hard for and don’t even need to show proof, their babies become citizens and they take our dividends. And don’t get me started on the war, what did President Bush lie for, oh I know he wanted to make his pockets fatter and in history be another chapter; instead he got rich and this country became a disaster. This world is so full of evil, and I know firsthand how frustrating things can be, but you've done it before and you can do it now, just see the positive possibilities. Redirect all that negative energy of your frustrations and turn it into positive, effective, and unstoppable determination.
