Frustration

What is this feeling that's taking control?
Is it anger or sadness? I can't tell
Losing my footing, I fall in the hole
Is it going to be heaven or hell?

Waiting gets boring when you are alone
Hoping but knowing nothing will happen
Still for so long that you turn into stone
Hide it from others, hold up a sad grin

Tuck away those feelings that only hurt
They don't allow any chance to prevail
Just pick yourself up and dust off the dirt
Shake it off and put footprints on the trail

I'm a High school senior that loves poetry and the way poetry can alter perspectives. I write more than just poetry and the poems posted by me on this forum differ based on the emotion being expressed while writing the piece.
