Frustrations of a Cinematic Sunrise

Lie back and whiff the crisp frozen air lingering for a 4 a.m. midnight showing of the moon The stars were your only other viewers offering the camaraderie you desired in that, a packed theater with a lifeless crowd, yet they are so vibrant in their singularity Rough diamonds. Diamonds in ruffs, ruffles of dimes, they dangled in the midnight sky as the sun rose. Dipping their toes in the Sherbet sunrise, leaving you to ponder the ways of the blades of grass under your calves Why yet is the ball of blaze still sweeping its way forward from the edge of the earth, can’t rays grasp the threads of your eyebrows YET. You lay in ponderance Breathe deeply and slowly like the waves washing around a beached whale. Slowly resting upon a resting animal, its slimy shine of black soft skin beaming from a balloon of oceanic energy Your eyes are now wondering, since you’ve been watching the portabella face shrivel above you in the years passing, closing when they should open, sleeping when you should be waking..
