Full Circle Love
Why do you make me breakfast every morning?
Why do you give me a hug before I drive to school?
Why do you text me, just to simply see how my day is going?
All of this, due to the fact that you are my mother, and #becauseyouloveme
How did you teach me to become such a great athlete?
How do you not grow upset with me when I am moody and rude?
How is it that, before I take a bike ride, you are in the garage, pumping my tires with air?
All of this, due to the fact that you are my father, and #becauseyouloveme
For what reason do you provide a massive hug as a greeting?
For what reason do you buy me gummy bears for my birthday, knowing I prefer them over any piece of clothing or Starbucks gift card?
For what reason did you shed a tear when I informed you I will be moving across the country next year?
All of this, due to the fact that you are my best friend, and #becauseyouloveme
For what purpose do you wag your tail and perk up your ears whenever I stroll into a room?
For what purpose do you lick me as I am petting you?
For what purpose do you bark and groll when a stranger is present in my house?
All of this, due to the fact that you are my dog, and #becauseyouloveme
Why do I worry when you have to work the night shift and drive home alone?
How is it that, as a high school senior, I still ask you to come kick the soccer ball around with me?
For what reason do our silliest inside jokes still bring a smile to my face?
For what purpose does losing you hurt me more than any physical pain I have endured?
All of this, due to the fact that I am your daughter, your best friend, your owner-and
