Futile Significance

Compilation yearns, the stomach churns.

Questions of vigilance and Virtue

For I have saw her splinter into euphoria, of both laughter and somber.

For now I believe I’ll never provide adequate love through shared moments.

Now babe, I’ll admit, you brought glad grace through your dimpled cheeks.

And your eyes, oh your eyes, stared into the allure of it all.

But you stood there and scoffed at it all.

Though it’s no one’s fault.

You beared resilience but you were skittish to the touch

Love is natural and absolute.

But not for such as for you and I.

But it’s over and it never truly began.

Though in my heart, why was it so real? Why can’t my hands find your idols in the dark?

For now I must move on alone and respect your wishes of indifference.

Time has taken my tomorrows and turned ‘em into yesterdays

But I’ve wandered along side you for enough yesterdays to know.

For all the rest of my tomorrows,

whatever someone you become,

whoever you are in the world.

Know that I have the satisfaction,

To know you’ll be loved and cared for

Sincerely,

Ry Watson
