Futility
Live in Holiness
17 So I say this, and insist in the Lord, that you no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.
Drawing pictures in the water leaving fingerprints behind
Confusion sketched in detail of misinformed wants and wishes
Results seem now a constant fuel as we keep mixing every kind
Catching all the failed leftovers in broken cups and dishes
Jumping up and down as we slide towards a state of nothing
With a well-searched inclination for our now-expected demise
Almost like a group of clowns dressed up for a form of something
Into mankind’s molded degradation in search of sugar and spice
Dark clouds are now gathering and the storm is rolling in
What now to expect of this is just a calculated guess for most
No words now left to flatter for the chosen “might have-beens”
As their moments of appointed bliss are appearing like ghosts
