Futility

Futility.

What an empty word.

A hopeless word.

Yet a distraction,

A distraction from life's meaning,

life's worth,

life's joy,

life's fullfilment.

But a distraction,

From the chaos of brain waves

From that hurt,

From those memories that throb.

Can we live without it?

Can we live every moment without a distraction?

Complete focus on every detail.

Every detail.

To feel that emptiness inside.

Futility,

such a hopeless word to fulfill our emptiness of existence
