Futility

Ecclesiastes 6:9

It is better to be content with what the eyes can see
than for one’s heart always to crave more.
This continual longing is futile—like chasing the wind.

Now I am here and now I am gone ... frozen in temporal

All seems an illusion in the framework of my mind

Here and there a sign ... like an artificial floral

trying to explain vaguely confusion of all kind

Once I was a pauper and now just a begging

Not ashamed to ask everybody for some help

Is this not amazing when pride goes out a nagging

that life becomes simpler and I know this very well

Little do I know and even smaller the forgotten

Hanging by a string in understanding of the Fall

Swinging in the wind of all the ill begotten

that pressures constantly the futility of it all
