Future

I am an ordinary girl with no plans of the future.
I wonder about the future more often than the present.
I hear the faint sound of hope for a better day.
I see the thoughts of others when they stress over the future.
I want to travel the world and see everything it has to offer.
I am an ordinary girl with no plans for the future.

I pretend that I can easily fulfill what is expected of me.
I feel the weight of the world on my shoulders.
I touch the heart of those who touch mine.
I worry that my future will not be as good as it can be.
I cry for the days I will stress over things that don’t matter.
I am an ordinary girl with no plans for the future.

I understand that nothing in this life is definite.
I say that we can dream of planning our lives in exact detail.
I dream of knowing what is in store for my life.
I try to let the world take its course.
I hope that one day I will be able to live feeling proud of my past accomplishments.
I am an ordinary girl with no plans for the future.
