The Future

There’s only a year left

The time is quickly ascending

My peers claim they are ready

But they’re really just pretending

They talk about the parties

The atmosphere, the feel

In the end that’s all they care about

But what about what’s real

Our childhood will be over

Never to return

All those things that use to be non-important

Shall become our concern

We’ll have to grow up

Mature, and be responsible

Even though we think it’ll be easy

There will be obstacles

So for the year approaching

I will try to start anew

But for all the others

What will they do?
