Future
The way I feel, I wonder if I'm ready
For all of the things, that God's got planned for me.
I sit her on my bed, knowing I'm supposed to be
A composer of worship to the Lord of the heavenlies.
"God help me please, cause I'm going after this with all I got.
I pray my heart and Your Spirit are the only things guiding my 'stomp'.
I love you Lord, don't ever let me sit and rot,
Cause the idea of a life without the fire puts my stomach in a fricken knot."
I wonder who the woman is that I'll fall in love with some day.
When? How? Soon will I meet her?
Is it the girl I watch from the balcony at school?
Is it a girl back in Brentwood, not knowing what she should do?
God, I know you designed me with a woman in mind,
I know you're gonna let me choose her though, I ain't no mime.
See I got a voice and an opinion, and I know you care.
That's why you're leaving it up to me, even though you're still right here.
You guide my path Lord, but you let me take the steps.
You'll never leave me nor forsake me, you'll always be near.
I trust you with my life, Lord. I love you my dear.
