Future
If I could talk to my future self
I’d warn her of who to trust
And who would betray
I’d warn her of the news now
And how to help
How to save lives
And how to stay afloat
But then again
Why ruin the surprise
Yes it hurts, but if you knew
How would you get over it

Your Poem's Voice
Personal reflection on future self mixed with abstract philosophical questioning about knowledge and pain.
Multiple ideas presented: warning future self, trust/betrayal, news/help, staying afloat, paradox of knowledge.
Melancholic acceptance; acknowledges hurt but finds wisdom in unknowing; balanced rather than clearly positive or negative.
Conversational, measured pace with introspective questioning; no explosive language or kinetic intensity.
Approximately 12-14 lines; falls within 7-15 line range.
Largely declarative; 'stay afloat' is subtle metaphor; minimal ornamentation overall.
Pure lyric internal voice addressing imagined future self; deeply introspective and first-person.
