THE FUTURE

the future lies far ahead of me like a tiny dot in the distance . i can't see it. i don't want to see it. when i think i come upon it it looks dark big shapeless. too big for these small words. out of the corner of my eye i see brightness in a flash. then it leaves. i know that one day i will reach it. one day i'll see the classroom dormroom workroom barroom boardroom ahead of me and i'll fit in it. but now it's shapeless in the far future.
