A Future

A future that always seemed so far is only but a couple of weeks away. A future I have only dreamed of will become my reality. The times of dependence and nurture are at nears end. And a time of independence and growth are about to begin. I know when I cross that stage I will no longer be the same person I was the past four years. A future with the old me will not collaborate. A future of challenges and consequences are right around the corner. I know when I walk the stage and throw my cap into the air that a chapter of my life will end and a new one will begin. The future is here, no longer will I reflect on my past and wish to go back to the days where I was referred to as a child in high school. Along with my memories and regrets, they are nothing but my lessons. A future of great things have yet to come.
