Future

I was gifted with clever hands,

I was gifted with a capable head,

I was gifted with possibilities,

but all I wanted was a purpose.

I don’t need to save the world,

I’ll that to the leaders there.

I don’t need to save everyone,

I just want to save someone.

There is much hardship on this road,

more obstacles than I had imagined.

There are much more that I need to learn,

and so much more that I need to discover.

I am willing to dive into the unknown,

I am willing to withstand the burden.

Medicine will be my assistant,

and the scalpel as my right hand.
