Future of America Beware

Regurgitate the facts,
Spit out to me what was given unto you
For what does it matter?
Learning? Ha!

"Give me new information."
You say.
"Tell me something refreshing."
You say.
"I'm looking for details."
You say.

What does it matter?
For what I know will never be known,
For a test won't display what I know
But rather
What you want me to learn.

Perhaps I haven't learned what the precious state wants you to teach.
Perhaps you haven't taught what I needed to learn.
Government. That's the issue.

Fine by me.
I don't need to be successful in the future.
And I'll have you to thank.
