Future Child
Dear future child,
I hope you are a girl but if not it’s okay
I hope we bond like no other and have endless memories and fun
I hope you love me as much as I’m going to love you
And I hope you're everything I was when I was little
When I was little I was always happy but I hope your happier
I always had a big grin on my face even when I got in trouble
I learned to love life no matter what happens
I hope you do that too.
I swam a lot and I still do, I hope you do too
But I won't force you like everyone forced me to do
I want you to take things to your advantage though and take every opportunity that is given because that is sure one thing that I was not good at
I hope you're not as shy as me although when you get to know me Im very loud and exciting
I want you to be smart and help others, but what parent does not?
If you ever need me I want you to know that Im always here no matter the circumstances
I want to be your number 1 fan no matter who comes into your life
I want you to follow your dreams
I want you to laugh at your mistakes
I want you to mess up at life so that you come to me for help
I don't want you to be perfect because nobody I knew ever was
I want you to be you and I want you to be happy doing it
I love you
Forever and always
Your mother
