Future Me

They said you'd be a doctor.

You became a lawyer.

They said you'd be a scientist.

You became a fiction writer.

Do you thrive by doing the opposite

of what your parents and friends

tell you? Are you that stubborn.

At least the skies are clear

and the storm is over.

There is always hope in the future no matter what the forecast.
