Future Me

Dear Future Me,

Don't let your past dictate your future

It can only hurt you later in time

Your past is like a torn suture

But work hard and you will be fine

I'm sure you will be a fine man

The way you were raised tells me so

Remember your training and stay on the right track

Do these things that I know you can

    Find happiness in something

Your life will amount to more than nothing

Strive for the best things in life

Do this and you avoid all life's strife

   Remember this if nothing else

Have faith in whatever you do

Your future will be as bright as the rising sun

Take this from the one who knows you like no other, You

   With Much Love and Repsect

        Past James Batiste IV
