Future Things

I need one person: you

one awkward first date was

all it took for me to be hooked

on you     my endearing man

I perpetually experience

the feeling of being     alive

when you're near    light

seems to shine from your eyes my eyes

my skin my heart

I dream of future things

handholds rings     waking up next to you

children with your nose your eyes

growing old with you     kissing you awake

surprising you with the strength of my love

I need you     for what does the rest of the world

mean without you     nothing, my dear
