Gaia's Revenge

Flowers of a thousand blooms Spread blood across my skin Silk slices so softly As my emotions dice me within Mother Nature tortures me As I disobeyed her bidding She consumes my crime like liquor Taking in far too much for one sitting The trees sway in their discontent And the bees buzz bravely away Satisfaction spreads across Gaia’s face As she swears to me that I’ll pay From her green thumbs come twisted vines Spreading across my limbs She pushes her hands upon my neck And squeezes and squeezes again My heart slows so gracefully While my sputtering finally stops I should’ve seen it coming Nature always comes out on top
