A Game

Money is hard to get

when its in your pocket it gets spent

maybe on unexpected expenses

maybe on items not necessary

but as hard as it is to earn

the easier it is to lose or give away

College is easy to get in

hard to figure out how to stay

payment plans and financial aid

we all are just playing one big game

when you find a scholarship

its like a homerun

suddenly we have money

to gain knowledge and power

we can stay

but then the run is gone

and we have to play again

always with a run behind

with college on our minds
