The Game of Life

A relieved sigh fills the air Only to gasp again With depth and pain. Rage, hatred, fear, and sorrow Burrow deeper Will there be a tomorrow? Then a light appears It’s soft, warm glow Pierces the ache that’s been come to known. The sigh returns but it’s now clear That life’s cruel game Does not play fair
