A Gamer
It starts off with that phone call or text message to get online. The competitive spirit in me awakens like a dormant volcano. Player assembled on the battleground of what is known as today's test. Headsets applied, voices heard, as the smack talking begins. Teams party up in the first course of action. Scream heard, blood rushing, grenades firing as the missions are being accomplished. Set apart on my own searching for the enemy. Doing anything possible to win. Teammates shout out strategies as i am a rogue mercenary. As I clip off every enemy soldier, all that is heard on my headphones are girlish screams and swearing. Self- esteems destroyed as I am victorious. Never again will they awaken me from my afternoon nap.
