I do the best of my ability,

To keep the stability.

Try to stick to the laughter,

Stray from the disaster.

All we do is yell and shout,

You never want to hear me out.

I keep quiet most times,

To make you feel all mighty and fine.

But the words you say don’t make sense,

They’re just things that make you bothered and tense.

All this stress we feel,

I guess we just don’t know how to deal.

All the hate you spray,

Sorries don’t make it go away.

You’re the one who’s yelling,

When I’m just telling,

What I think needs to be heard,

Even if it’s absurd.

I guess you don’t mean it,

But my self esteem still lessens a bit.

When will it ever end?

This thing we call playing pretend.
