Gangbanger

You’re constantly walking out of that door, not knowing if you’re ever gonna return again You could end up six feet under, or if you’re lucky enough, maybe the Pen. Mad at the world because someone told you they’ll be back, but you know they’ll never arrive Meanwhile, you got your momma crying and praying that you’re gonna survive. At such a young age, you’re having unprotected sex with a lot of girls Now because you think you’re Quagmire, you feel like you’re on top of the world. But the consequences of your actions you couldn’t foresee So you caught an STD before you even took the SAT. Apparently the love and appreciation your mom gave you wasn’t enough, so you looked for it from the boys in the ‘hood Whatever these guys did, you also would. You got accepted into their gang, but neither you nor they know what y’all reppin’ But even so, you’re still riding around with that MAC 11. You claim to be Blood like Game, or Crip like Snoop But behind that rag, you don’t even know what’s the truth. Now you think you hard because you know you’re capable of killing a nigga But little do you know that any fool with a gun can pull a trigger. When you were younger, you constantly asked momma if for the ‘hood, there was any hope But you went from that young and innocent smart kid to slinging that coke. You take a hit of that Kush and sip some of that booze just to hide some of the pain But that doesn’t change the fact that you’re living life in the fast lane. Ended up a straight up menace and doing whatever the hell you please For you, it’s by any means necessary in order to get that cheese. Riding around in the streets with them goons ready to buck Smokin’ anybody, because apparently y’all don’t give a f**k. You can’t move out the hood because your money isn’t good anywhere else But you’re not safe, so you gotta watch your back and move in stealth. Now you’re worried, but remember, this is the life you chose Wondering how much longer you’ll be able to stay on your toes. Somehow, you now feel safer because you’re behind bars You start to reminisce about riding around in your expensive car. The rest of your days will be spent living up in the left hangar You tried to make a name for yourself in the streets, but now… you’re just another Gangbanger.
