Garden

You planted a seed in me

And every day you watched me grow

I was a sight to behold

One that you did not dare to disturb

What rose from the grown was a garden

Of sunflowers and roses

Orchids and lilacs

The bees desperate to get a taste of my sweet honey

With your love, I continued to grow

But when Winter came you disappeared

Despite the tears

There simply wasn't enough water

And my garden began to crumble

Petals continued to fall

The wind being ever so cruel

And snatching up whatever was left

What remind was the bittersweet memory of you

Yet that was enough

For when Spring came

The bees returned and the flowers rose

The seed that you planted in me had gone

And instead blossomed a flower

That was watered

And loved by the sun

And danced with the wind.
