garden

I sat in the garden

Surrounded by beautiful flowers

Flowers that bloomed and blossomed

Oh how I envied them

For they had everything I did not

They had petals full of color

And leaves of various greens

I tried to run

And I tried to hide

For all that I could blossom

Were these thorns
