Garden of Life

To those who helped me and those I will help,

I am a growing flower

Still unaware of my power

And my beauty

Questioning everything

But I was planted in the soil of love and empathy

Existing in the glow of respect, kindness, and forever-learning provided by my sun

My mom, my family, my friends

And sometimes, maybe too often,

It rains

It pours rain, pain

From experiences laced in trauma, self-loathing, and unregulated emotions

But pain provides life

Pain inspires

Pain motivates

Without it, I would never want to help other flowers

Help flowers find their sun

Their nutrient soil to grow in

Help flowers embrace the rain

Empower them to nurture themselves and others

Because I believe in every flower

Every flowers’ power

Every flowers’ beauty

As others have believed in me
