Garden of Love

To Love:

You are so enchanting.

                                        A blooming rose bush.

You have so many flowers.

                                        So wonderfully fragrant.

You are so vivid.

                                        Yellow, pink, red and white.

You are everywhere.

                                        Parks, shops, and hands worldwide.

                        But you aren’t perfect.

You have many thorns.

                                        Quite painful to grasp.

You require time.

                                        A slow but beautiful blossom.

You are needy.

                                        Attention and care every day.

And you may not last forever…

             But the joy you bring…

The color, the smiles and senses…

Continue to grow on in my heart after you have withered away.

Signed,

Yours truly.
