The Gardener

I grow flowers from stone

As easily as the sun rises.

But the stone is hard and alone,

So only one flower flourishes there

But my flower blooms into a tree.

Its branches grasp the fleeting sky.

Its roots smash the solid stone,

and makes soil for its seed.

Now my tree grows its own flowers,

and its flowers grow fresh fruit.

The fruit gives life to the world

By filling the craters of rock with its water.

Now each seed drinks of the water,

the water of its mother,

and blossoms into another tree.

and this tree, repeats all that was given to it
