Gaston and the Rose

He took my family and sent them away;

as a laborer of war, I was forced to stay

My loathe is cloathed in dark, thick sin;

Greed and Pride became his bitter end

Encompassed now in the animal he was

forced to live this life without any love

Sodden with crime against humanity itself;

his heart betrayed him - it took his wealth

Life was good - humanity, it returned

in my peaceful village, the fires then burned

Until one girl, who matched her name

came to this town and lit a new flame

She stole my heart, how infatuated was I

until I realized, in the Beast's story she tied

I tried to save her - agonizing to my soul

But she slipped away like my family - sold?

Sold. On the Beast who was man once again

She, through wrong love, washed his sin

The rose petals fell, redeeming my dismal fate;

but alas not fast enough - not a bad enough state

They fell too slowly, they fell to no avail

And it was my love who destroyed the curse - a girl named Belle
