The Gates

The gates of death were bright and inviting

a shock to the touch to jostle one's might

he was far too weak to open to gates

so he turned his back on that brightest of lights.

A Sol revolution will cleanse what must be

depending on your definition to me

to cleanse what is filth or that which is sacred

Why suffer so much with an ego so naked?

I left my heart steaked on the tall gates of death

to remind myself all of what really is left

of this curious yet mundane life we precieve.

I'll get my heart back with no need to grieve.

The bright gates of death were cold and inviting

the shock of it's touch will suck my form dry

Gates always open to to those who have tried

my heart is still waiting, all I must do is die.
