Gator


If we were in the wild, I would attack you. 

 

The flashbacks crack open and I am 

 

Left to catch teardrops in my hands. 

 

The silence because it has ended, I never stood a chance.  

 

Why did you have to let me believe that there is nothing left for me. 

 

I should have known if you smile at a crocodile.
