Gazes
We gaze into the future
Thinking this is all we’ll ever need
Only to realize that life causes great misery
We gaze into tomorrow
Without even getting through today
Hoping that tomorrow might be a better day
We gaze into the past
Wondering how we could be so naive
Debating if that is what brought us to be
Yet we never gaze into the present
Maybe that’s why the world isn’t exactly pleasant
We blame the society for our shames
But we are the society that we fail to claim
We spend our days gazing
Expecting that it will make a change
