Gears

Rotating, spinning, and grinding

All moving together to help the cause

The gears in my head

Help me process information

They store it to form memories

Memories of my childhood

Memories of yesterday

The bad and the good

The wind blowing through my hair

As the wind picks up across the Lake

My boat speeds up

Laughing while hail comes down

Summer and memories

Or

Summer memories

The best ones

With friends and family

Memories those gears saved

Memories my brain will never forget

Memories I can’t live without

What helps me write

What helps me with my future

What keeps me looking forward

To the

New possibilities that could arise

From those gears that help me tick

And tock

Moving as one.
