Generalize ...
Psalm 31:22
22 I jumped to conclusions and said,
“I am cut off from Your presence!”
But You heard my plea for mercy when I cried out to You for help.
Generalize.
When my trust in others diminishes
because only one person broke the rules
and in my anger and frustration
I call all a bunch of fools.
I so quickly jump to conclusions
and point a finger at someone.
No proof or facts are really needed
as my emotions ramble on.
When my honesty is questioned
or my integrity at stake.
Why do my feathers easily ruffle
while I won’t give others an earnest break?
Why do I feel so cheated
when mistakes effect my pay?
Could it be that I’m greedy
or is it the other way?
Is it because I need elevation
above others who are like me?
Does that make me any better
unless others see the best in me?
