A generation of beauty

A generation of beauty,

wasting away into darkness,

the beauty of a smile,

the uniqueness of a beauty mark,

fading away,

beneath masks of bold lips and battering eyes,

a generation of beauty,

struggling for identity,

losing their glory,

for the ideal look,

a generation of beauty,

marvellously made,

tearing apart their faces,

for someone else's,

adding parts that are not theirs,

and fakeness to reality,

a generation of beauty,

saying they are ugly,

a generation that says beauty is only skin deep,

but through my eyes,

this is a generation of inner beauty,

and that is the only beauty that matters.
