a generation that is lost

a generation that is lost

where kids today are inspire in implementing the knockout game

where the goal is to knock somebody out unconscious

or leave them for dead

now if you need to knock somebody out

pick up a pair of gloves and be an aspire boxer

and compete for a championship in an arena

where legends are born

but instead of that

more concern about competing to how much more money

will be invested in building jails

a generation that is lost

where the objective of the passout challenge

is to apply the sleeper hold until they pass out

if you feel the need to put someone to rest

play a classic sade record that harmonizes love and warmth

a generation that is lost

are the same birds that fight for somebody

let's not go there

you know what, i'll take it there

you fools need to be on checkmate when i say

haven't you learn that boys and girls just come and go

friends that love you for you will always be there

or haven't you figure that out by now

a generation that is lost

where technology stole the imagination

on an innocent child

the creativity is gone

all you have to do is go to google and press a letter

and numerous words and phrases pop up

whatever happpen to critical thinking

you know, in other words think

i forgot when thinking becomes too critical

you brain fries like eggs

a generation that is lost

where dr. seuss receives a nobel peace prize

for inspiring these rappers to limit their vocabulary

with words like cat, in , the , hat,

or sounds that hasn't been invented

and yet viewers find this hot garbage talent

someone lie to you

want to listen to something inspiring

i remember a certain rapper in 1994

that dropped a hit record juicy

unfortunately, march 9th, 1997, he died way before his time

if he were to listen to hip hop now, he'll spit in his own grave

a generation that is lost

where kids are having kids

kids are way out of control

there is no level of respect for humanity and decency

grandmothers are 45 thinking they still 25

probabably dating a guy that is the same age as her 1st born

people justifying their bad behavior

making all the excuses to constant failures

it's like i always say

especially to my young people

if you do not rewrite history

you will always forever fulfill society's stereotype

Very beautifully crude sentences that drop like heavy daggers into your feelings when you read them. Definatly feel the relevance.

I'm part of this generation, but I hate that it's true of what we've become and this is what I have to look to when I grow old. WOW... really?
