Genetics

I was hurt

by the man I thought I could look up to.

So young,

still can smell the alcohol.

Rage ran though him

and he took it out on me.

When I got older I believed it was okay

to take my sorrow out on someone more beautiful than I.

Hired a hit man to get my precious treasure.

Should have remembered, cannot rely on others

if you want something done.

Would have to take measures into my own hands.

A quick trip to the famers market

looking frantically for what to choose.

Then I had a flashback when I saw the apples.

Red was his favorite color, like the bruises when new.

Ran to my lab as fast as I could,

with a wicked grin creeping inside.

The perfect luring tactic a pretty girl would love,

wouldn't be able to hide...
