A gentle soft voice

Proverbs 8:4

4 “To you, O people, I call out,
and My voice calls to all mankind.

Among you now my brethren

I stand alone and watch

Behind me rises One

Who will gently set the tune?

Words of Life, words of death

are mixed into a batch

and as the song fades away

all will appear in ruins.

Resurrection only comes

at a time when all is down

When all seems lost, once and for all

in a colorless surrounding

It is right then, in the here and now,

that Life itself abounds,

and One reaches to our helplessness

with a gentle soft compounding

It is not a blazing light I see,

just a gentle touch

It is not raging words I hear,

but just a small still voice

I am not judged right here and then,

just reminded that it is near

and that I can find the rest I need

if I let Him be my choice
