Gentle Touch

As i escape the sound of the water thrashing against the rocks,

the sound of creatures murmuring their retaliation,

the sound of the trees whistling in the wind,

I become engross in an alternate universe.

With each flip,

with each delicate turn,

I lose myself in a life that is not my own;

A life where I'm superior to everything and anything that dares to challenge me.

A life where I am trapped by laughs and taunts.

A life where a warm hand explores every crevice in my body,

yet a life where the loving hand mutilates my beauty.

With each intriguing picture I flee the enduring defeat,

the everlasting sight of surrounding ocean,

and the emptiness that bubbles inside of me.

I transform

with each fragile touch.

The pages,

keeps the steadiness in my breath.
