Gentleness

Matthew 11:29

New English Translation

29 Take my yoke on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

Here now a pen and paper, lines running from left to right

All waiting to be filled with the memory of your gentle smiling face

Slowly the words form to fade somewhere in my sight

To draw the form of your heart there to fill this empty space

You are the one and only that flows out of my pen

Not another one on my mind as I see your eyes sparkle

It seems now like a privilege as I remember when

We first met so long ago in the design of the Master

Time goes by almost unnoticed, once here and then it’s gone

The cares of every day erase somehow most all memories

All for the best, I know since feelings seem flaked and overdone

As we dream and struggle on with our own illusionary fantasies
